OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

How do I figure this out? http://prntscr.com/d4qm55

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

@3mar

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Was about to ping u as well iluvsoccer but then i saw u here already

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

The angle measure of a straight line is 180 degrees. So we have 114 degrees there and those two lines are corresponding and parallel so we just subtract 114 from 180. 180 - 114 = angle b

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for your concern!

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Um I tried that and got 36 but I did that for the other 2 and 3mar said it was wrong..

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

OHH WAIT! I'm WRONG!! SORRY!!!

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Its okay haha

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Those are both alternate exterior angles. So they match up to the same thing. If 114 is that angle, angle b is also how many degrees?

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Is it 72

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Nope. It's 114 :) Because they are the same angles. They're corresponding.

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Wait no, they're alternate interior angles as @3mar has shown above.

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

So confused now

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

So how do I figure it out

OpenStudy (3mar):

let me simply!??

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Sure

OpenStudy (3mar):

|dw:1478629550339:dw| easy now!?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Yee! ^ Since they're the same angles, they also have the same angle measure.

OpenStudy (3mar):

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

so 144?

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Yep! :)

OpenStudy (iluvsoccer):

Sorry... I said 114. I got mixed up. haha

OpenStudy (3mar):

No problem at all! It happens to all of us!

OpenStudy (mathsucks321):

Its okay!
