How/ why does an antacid change the the temperature in water?

Wild guess that there's an EXOthermic or ENDOthermic reaction involved. Guess based on the word "antacid" which I take to be a chemical. There is also the possibility that when the antacid "dissolves" or mixes with the water there is a heat of solution involved. Which makes it something to scout out for in thermochemsitry.

Yes it would be chemical! Thank you so much!
