@mhchen Rakesh?

Actually both of them are right. You see the exponent of the first one, (n-1), would mean this: \[g_{n}=g_{1}*r^{n-1}\] And g1 is the first term, which is 100. For the exponent of the second one, (n), would mean this: \[g_{n}=g_{0}*r^{n}\] And g0 is the term before the first term, which would be multiplying 100 * 2 = 200. So both are correct.
