I don't even really know what this question's asking..
I think yo mean a system of equations having two variables but are first order in both of them
not a system with second-order terms, becuase that would be much harrder
i.e you only consider system of the following\[ax+by=c, dx+ey=f\]
with a,b,c,d,e,f being real constants
