OpenStudy (itrymath):

here is a question your probably will never be able to answer ;)

OpenStudy (itrymath):

@Seratul

OpenStudy (seratul):

Just a question, what grade are you in?

OpenStudy (seratul):

I don't know why they are making these questions complicated. But I think what they are trying to say if that you get a discounted price if you rent the coat for longer.

OpenStudy (seratul):

Sorry, I can't find a way that those two numbers compare to write an equation. Maybe someone else can help. @zepdrix

OpenStudy (itrymath):

back

iYuko (iyuko):

There are questions.

iYuko (iyuko):

2nd line

iYuko (iyuko):

and Part C

OpenStudy (retireed):

Is it just a linear function... you have two points so calculate the slope.

OpenStudy (itrymath):

@Seratul translate their hard way to easy lol :)

OpenStudy (itrymath):

wait so i make 2 fnctions ?

OpenStudy (itrymath):

f(y)=6(x)+510

OpenStudy (seratul):

I don't think that word work.

OpenStudy (itrymath):

then what would

OpenStudy (seratul):

@retirEEd y=75x+60

OpenStudy (itrymath):

waaa

OpenStudy (seratul):

That equation works. If you do the slope formula like @retirEEd said, you get 75. However, the starting value has to be 60, which i don't understand why it would be that in this problem.

OpenStudy (seratul):

Maybe i'm thinking a little too hard with this problem.

OpenStudy (seratul):

What grade are you in @ItryMath ??

OpenStudy (seratul):

@mathmate

OpenStudy (itrymath):

10th

OpenStudy (retireed):

@Seratul your work is correct.

OpenStudy (seratul):

Okay. For the second question then, just replace y with f(x)

OpenStudy (retireed):

The $60 offset would be like for a cleaning charge, whether you rent for 3 or 6 or even one day.

OpenStudy (itrymath):

okay whats next @retirEEd @Seratul

OpenStudy (seratul):

Just graph it for the last question.

OpenStudy (itrymath):

in function notation is it f(x)=75x+60

OpenStudy (itrymath):

@Seratul

OpenStudy (seratul):

Yep.

OpenStudy (itrymath):

thanks @Seratul @retirEEd and @iYuko
