hello HELP ASAP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
@jim_thompson5910
what are you stuck on?
whole thing ...lol
and i've been trying to figure out for approximetly 4-6 hours...
they want you to design a room
idk if you know mathmale yeah well we didnt get anywhere.. (he did) i didnt
okay i did
i'll send pic
What does `sq` mean on your paper? Does it mean `square`?
btw it said do a single room, not the whole apartment or house. But your teacher may still accept it
yes it means sq and it doesn't matter
change each `sq` to `units`
sq isn't a proper term but units is
that will take care of the scale dimensions
um dont i have to like convert them to real life though
yes
in your scale drawing, how long is each unit?
am i suppose to make that up or what
yes but make it realistic
how
how about x5.5?
what do you mean?
multiple every unit for example 10 * 5.5 or the dresser 8 * 5.5
would that make it realistc ?
so you're saying 1 unit = 5.5 _______ where something would go in the blank (meters or feet or something like that)
5.5 inches
is it realistic to have this scale?
yes
so the 3 unit by 2 unit desk would be 16.5 inches by 11 inches (see work below). That doesn't sound realistic at all 3*5.5 = 16.5 2*5.5 = 11
but every unit is suppose to equal the same amount
i can't think of a decent number
why not something bigger, why not 1 unit = 1 foot ??
wouldn't that be to big?!
3 ft by 2 ft is a reasonable size for a desk I think
yes it does ... (just measured my desk )
can i ask how old you are?
and can we answer questions 1 through 4 on step 3
hello @jim_thompson5910
@caozeyuan
ok, so where are you now
i just need help on the 4 questions on step 3
thats literally it and mathmale guided me through them a little so now i should know the answer
ok, so the first question ask you to convert the dimension of objects on paper to that of real life
just to clarify are you looking at step 3
actually i'll just post the question in
for example, if one square has length 1 meter in real life
yes
In the example floor plan of a bedroom above, the bed measures 5.5 squares x 8 squares. When the actual dimensions of the bed are found, the bed is approximately 55 in. x 80 in. which converts to approximately 4.5 ft. x 6.6 ft. After creating your floor plan and using your scale factor to find the actual dimensions of the objects placed in the room, do you think the sizes are true-to-life and represent real-world sizes? Explain your answer using complete sentences and provide details in your writing.
so you need to have your plan ready first, with conversion factor
do you have that?
I guess lol
measure the dimension of one of the objects on paper
and tell me what you got
i dont know .. all i know is it was multiplied by 10
no, I need the sizes of the object ON PAPER, i.e. how large is the thing that you ve drawn
Bruh, its on the website link i gave you rofl
for example, I measured it to be 10cm by 10cm, and my conversion factor is 1:10, that means in real life it would be 1m by 1m
but thats not YOURS
i made mine !!J@!J@#!@#!#@?!?#?!@#
but mine has nothing to do with this
yes it does
jim already helped me through mine
the question ask for the sizes
no lies
let me see
so you need to measure it and convert it to real life size
Omg i already did that
😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
then tell me whats your answer
In the example floor plan of a bedroom above
thats from text
basically i need to know the size of your object and the conversion factor you use
In the example floor plan of a bedroom above, the bed measures 5.5 squares x 8 squares. When the actual dimensions of the bed are found, the bed is approximately 55 in. x 80 in. which converts to approximately 4.5 ft. x 6.6 ft. Explain your answer using complete sentences and provide details in your writing.
yes, I know that
I did mine already lmao..... this is a different example !@#*721836&!@*&$*!&
just tell me yours
they want us to refer to this one https://lti.flvsgl.com/content/i52htqeb5l69atis2h76at8sb7/educator_geometry_v15_gs/module04/imgs/04_05_a1.jpg
okay fine my bed was 10 unites x 9 unites and i used 1 unit = 1 foot
so your real life bed would be 10 ft by 9 ft
yup
and i cant do ANYTHING aout it
now google some typical bed sizes, does yours seem reasonable, i.e similiar to the bed someone is sleeping on right now
i drew it in pen
well mine is 10 ft
its called XXX bed
okay so my bed right now is 5 inches in length and 3 inches in width
well, it doesnt matter what sizes it is
you just need to answer the question
i did
so can we answer number 1
ok, so your real life bed is 5 ft by 3 ft
wait wait why are you asking me about the drawing etc i made ... i got that covered with mathmale and jim
what they didnt cover was 1-4
