@Will.H @Frozen15 @AloneS @Awolflover1 Anyone is welcome to help :3

OpenStudy (madisongoode):

I'm not totally sure. I have an idea of what it could be, what I don't want to get you wrong, so nvm. But Good Luck ig! (:

OpenStudy (will.h):

parallel to the line with slope 3/4 and passes through (2,-1) Now since the line is parallel then the lines have the same slopes Thus the slope is 3/4 now use y - y1 = m(x - x1) substitute the x and y values of the point (2,-1) y - (-1) = 3/4(x - 2) y + 1 = (3/4)x - 1.5 now since they want this in standard form then you will have to get x and y in the same side y - (3/4)x = -2.5 any questions?

OpenStudy (will.h):

you can also type the equation as -0.75x + y = -2.5 (if you want x to be in the lead)

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

@Will.H I'm not sure it's right for the answer they gave me...in the screenshot the boxes below with the X and Y already there (stuck there, I didn't put them there) is how the answer is supposed to look...which doesn't match with yours.

OpenStudy (will.h):

oh yes it does

OpenStudy (will.h):

see the 2nd form we made -0.75x + y = -2.5 instead of decimal you can make it a fraction for the slope which is (-3/4)x + y = -2.5 does that work?

OpenStudy (will.h):

the (-3/4) is a fraction

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

This box (image below) is my answer space, there isn't enough room before the x for a fraction...I can't move the X as I didn't put it there, it's programmed in as that is where it's supposed to go in their answer...

OpenStudy (will.h):

okay i'll tell u how to do it 1st input negative sign then the box before the last is 3 then division sign then the last box 4 see if that works

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

I'm confused now, can you draw it? :/

OpenStudy (will.h):

OpenStudy (will.h):

can you do it in this shape?

OpenStudy (gracygirl):

Possibly, my schooling platform/program is strange, I'll see if I can figure it out. Thank you :)

OpenStudy (will.h):

you welcome if you haven't figure it out yet tag me again i can give you another clue to specifically type in the fraction
