OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Comprehension questions are questions that test the reader's understanding. So write 2 questions that test the reader, to do this write a question that is about content in the story.

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

These are really good so far, the recall questions are perfect. The comprehension questions are on the right track. Good Job!

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

4. What do Antonio and Felix discover they value as much as winning? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

What type of question is this for?

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Comprehension @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

That's good so comprehension and recall are done! :)

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

For analysis, I would write a question about who benefits from the story and how.

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Can you help me with one sentence and i do the other one? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

This could be helpful for analysis :)

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

So I can used those questions? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Those are generic literary analysis questions, you can use them for this :)

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

5. How is the setting of the book important to the theme? 6. What is the author's point of view? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Great so I would personalize those for your story. So for the first one instead of "the book" say your story name and for the second one add "in (insert story name here)" to the end.

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Better? @bear17bear 5. How is the setting of the Amigo Brothers important to the theme? 6. What is the author's point of view in the Amigo Brothers?

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Great, so just evaluation is left?

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

and Synthesize

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Okay this is the definition of a synthesis question:Compile information together in a different way by combining elements in a new pattern or proposing alternative solutions.

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

This website should help for synthesis: http://farr-integratingit.net/Theory/CriticalThinking/Synthesis.htm

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

This will help for Evaluation: http://farr-integratingit.net/Theory/CriticalThinking/Evaluation.htm

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Synthesize Questions ------------------ 7. What would happen if Antonio and Felix didn't have a fight? 8. What could be done to minimize the conflict? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Evaluation Questions ----------------- 9. What is your opinion of Antonio and Felix having a fight? 10. Why was it better that neither of them won the fight? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

This is really good the only thing i would fix is the evaluation questions. The 1st question asks your opinion then the 2nd one assumes your opinion is that it's better neither of them won. Do you see what I mean?

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

So what should I change? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

I would keep the 1st question but write a different one for the 2nd question. "What choice would you have made if you were in (Antonio or Felix pick one) 's shoes?" This would be a better one :)

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Better? 10. What choice would you have made if you were in Antonio's shoes? @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Great!

OpenStudy (ilovemath14):

Thank you!! @bear17bear

OpenStudy (bear17bear):

Glad I could help! :)
