I need some help please. http://prntscr.com/d7tohu

OpenStudy (seratul):

Okay, so the formula for a linear line is y=mx+b If it most pass through (4,0), b has to be 4. So far, we should have y=mx+4 Next, we need to make the equation we are given to in y=mx+b form. -3x+4y=4 = 4y=3x+4 Divide 4 in both sides to make y by itself. y=3/4x+1 Since these two lines have to be parallel, they must have the same (mx). In this case, mx is 3/4x So the equation should be y=3/4x+4

OpenStudy (seratul):

Do you need clarification? Are you confused?

OpenStudy (poto):

I'm a little bit confused but clarfication should be fine.

OpenStudy (seratul):

What do you need clarification on?

OpenStudy (poto):

So when they are parallel do they always have to have the same mx

OpenStudy (triciaal):

are you sure I had y = 3/4 x -3 let me check again

OpenStudy (triciaal):

@Poto yes

OpenStudy (seratul):

@triciaal Seems like I made a mistake. I though it was (0,4) You're right.
