Could someone help me with Algebra 2? Problem in the comments because there's a table

You are given 3 points that lie on the graph of a parabola. The standard equation for a parabola is y = ax^2 + bx + c. You'll need to find the values of the coefficients a, b and c. To achieve this, you'll need to create 3 equations in a, b and c, based upon the 3 points given. Use the elimination method to solve this system of linear equations for a, b and c.

Okay so that's how you do it. Thanks, I just needed a refresher. A lot of the formulas get bunched up when I do the study guide and I forget stuff

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Example: First point is (-2,1). This leads to 1 = a(-2)^2 + b(-2) + c, or 1 = 4a - 2b + c. Do the same thing for the other 2 given points. Then solve the system for a, b and c.

Good luck!
