Graphing the square using Desmos.com Fact: diagonals of square are perpendicular to each other The 1st diagonal points are B(3,3) D(-3,-3) Find the slope using slope formula Slope is: -3-3/-3-3 Slope: -6/-6 Slope: 1 Since one of the vertices are (3,3) we can now derive the equation using Y - y1 = m(x - x1) Y - 3 = 1(x - 3) Y -3= x -3 Y = x That's the equation of the 1st diagonal Now let's find the equation of the 2nd equation Which has vertices of A(-3,3) C(3,-3) Again find the slope 1st Slope: -3-3/3+3 Slope: -6/6 Slope: -1 Passes through (-3,3) Use Y- Y1 = m(x - x1) Y - 3 = -1(x +3) Y - 3 = -x -3 Y = -x That's the 2nd equation Let me know if you have questions.
You have to put the equations in standard form Ax+by = C The 1st equation would be -X + y = 0 The 2nd equation would be X + y = 0
There isn't room in the answer are for all of that O_o

The equations that I typed above needs 10 boxes to fill them. And the boxes available are 10 sooo...
Oh, I counted 11
I hate the boxes system XD
Me too >.< There are 11 though because of the - sign in the first equation...
XD thats kinda annoying the boxes issues I didn't know that the signs counts as 1 box tho
It does, it sucks. I'm so confused, I don't doubt your work is correct, just my school is weird. Thanks again.
You welcome. Good luck figuring that out :)
