Help me! Will medal! :)
Which ordered pair is the solution to the system of equations?
\[x + y = 4 \] and \[x - y = -6\]
Have you considered substituting the ordered pairs into the system?
I would suggest taking the coordinates and plugging them into the equation.
I'm kind of learning how......Could you help? :)
Of Course! :)
how would i put the ordered pairs into the equation?
(2, 2) (1, −7) (−1, 5) (−2, 4) i copied this wrong my bad :)
So you take the first set of ordered pairs which is (2,2) and plug into x+y=4 and x-y=-6. So you know ordered pairs are (x,y). So you just plug in. (2,2) x+y=4 So you do this: 2+2=4 Is this equation correct? Yes (2,2)x-y=-6 So you do this: 2-2=-6 Is this equation correct? No. 2-2 would equal -4 not -6. So you know A is incorrect. Understand?
I Believe the answer is C because i tried plugging them in. (that's only if i did it right because it seemed to simple the way i did it.)
yes i understand it seems pretty easy now to think of it! :)
-1 + 5 = 4 and -1 - 5 = -6
Correct! Good Job!! :)
Thank you! :)
