MCR Help please

satellite73 (satellite73):

looks like each output is two more than the previous one right?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Yeah

satellite73 (satellite73):

that means you have a line, with slope two

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Okay

satellite73 (satellite73):

like \(y=mx+b\) with \(m=2\) so \(y=2x+b\) now you need \(b\)

satellite73 (satellite73):

if \(n=1\) then \(y=8\) what should it be if \(n=0\)?

OpenStudy (maddielb):

6?

satellite73 (satellite73):

yes

satellite73 (satellite73):

so \(y=2n+6\) is your answer

satellite73 (satellite73):

you can check that it works with all the numbers for example if \(n=4\) then \(y=2\times 4+6=8+6=14\) just like it should

OpenStudy (maddielb):

Okay, thank you!
