whats the question
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
Part A: Find the LCM of 5 and 12. Show your work. (3 points)
Part B: Find the GCF of 72 and 81. Show your work. (3 points)
Part C: Using the GCF you found in Part B, rewrite 72 + 81 as two factors. One factor is the GCF and the other is the sum of two numbers that do not have a common factor. Show your work. (4 points)

OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
can you explain?
OpenStudy (tgstudios):
what i usually do with LCM is i multiply the bigger number by 2 then see if i can multiply the 5 to meet that number
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
i do flvs and i really don't know how to really show my work
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
ok
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):

i do FLVS too:
A. in order to reach the LCM of 5 and 12, you are going to need to get 12 multiplied to the point where it ends in a 0 or 5, in this case, 12 x 5 = 60. Then just do it the other way, 5 x 12 = 60!
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
GCF
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
wait
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
ok
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
and is part b 9?

B. To find the GCF of 72 and 81, you need to find a number that will multiply into both of them.
(not part of the answer) can you tell me what can multiply something else to reach 72 or 81?
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
umm
OpenStudy (tgstudios):
pssssst.... (9)....?
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
yeah i said that XD
OpenStudy (elfynelfy12344):
heres what i said and is part b 9?
