OpenStudy (pokechick101):

Are slopes just for people who ski? No, they’re everywhere! Take a look around you. Slopes are in skateboard ramps, roller coasters, accessibility ramps on buildings, loading ramps on the backs of trucks, and even in the angle of a plane taking off or landing. Find an example of a slope in real life. Your example can be from the Internet, videos, magazines, newspapers, or right outside your window. (a) Take a picture or a screenshot, or create a drawing, of your example. (1 point) (b) Determine the slope. You do not have to be exact. Just estimate what you think the slope should be. (1 point) (c) Describe your slope (is it positive, negative, undefined, or zero and is it steep or shallow) and explain the real-life example that it is based on. (1 point) Write the equation for the line you estimated in point-slope form or in slope-intercept form. (2 points)

Seems like a pretty straightforward assignment. If you live next to any steep hills, I'd start there.

OpenStudy (mhchen):

Do you need help reading this whole thing? xD

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I, for one, would be more willing to help you if you'd first get started on this assignment yourself. Identify what you understand and what you do not understand, and then ask questions as appropriate. Please get involved.
