@will.h The grade a student makes on a test varies directly with the amount of time the student spends studying. Suppose a student spends 6.5 hours studying and makes a grade of 84% on the test. What is an equation that relates the grade earned on a test, g, with the amount of time spent studying, t, in hours? What is the graph of your equation? a. http://prntscr.com/db15px b. http://prntscr.com/db15uo c. http://prntscr.com/db15ze d. http://prntscr.com/db1653

OpenStudy (will.h):

Amount of time is the x values. The grade earned is the y values. Thus since the x directly effects the y values. And since all of the options are infact a straight line then clearly we're having a linear function in here.

OpenStudy (tanabugg):

Right

OpenStudy (will.h):

Good thing is that we already know that the line passes through the origin. And we have the point (6.5,84) We can find the slope and the graph. (0,0)(6.5,84) Slope = Y2-Y1/X2-X1 Slope = 12.9 So we can use now Y-y1 = m(x -x1) Y - 84 = 12.9(x - 6.5) Y -84= 12.9x -83.85 Y = 12.9x + 0.15 It would be D according to that

oh! Okay thanks so much!!!
