OpenStudy (tanabugg):

what is the range of the absolute value function below http://prntscr.com/db20zw a. all real numbers b. y<= -5 c. y >= -5 d y>= -6

OpenStudy (mhchen):

The range here is all of the y-values. As you can see, the line stops at -4 going down, but going up, it goes on forever. So the range would be from -4 and up. We can write that in interval notation like this: \[[-4,\infty)\] Where '[' means inclusive and ')' means non-inclusive.

OpenStudy (sshayer):

i think range is \[[-5,\infty )\]

OpenStudy (sshayer):

or \[y \geq -5\]

OpenStudy (sshayer):

it starts from -5 and goes indefinitely up

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I agree. [-5, infinity)
