OpenStudy (taviarobin):

How do you use coordinates to find the perimeter and area of polygons?

OpenStudy (lannyxx):

Hmm... You look at the corners (vertices) of those polygons, and what their coordinates are: |dw:1480459150271:dw|

OpenStudy (lannyxx):

if the two corners are on the same line, for example if one corner of the box was at (1,5) and the other was at (1,9) you know they are the same location horizontally, but one is higher than the other vertically.... you can figure out the length of the side or line connecting them simply by subtracting 9 from 5, tada!

OpenStudy (lannyxx):

|dw:1480459374246:dw| i just wanted to be clear here but to make things easy on yourself your object should be located on your coordinate origin...
