OpenStudy (kaiiskool):

Hey guys, I will fan and medal. I need help calculating the altitude of a right triangles which hypotenuse is 37 and base is 35

OpenStudy (sooobored):

for right triangles |dw:1480558075217:dw| \(a^2 +b^2=c^2\)

OpenStudy (sooobored):

where a is your base, c is your hypothenuse

OpenStudy (kaiiskool):

my base is 35

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Yes. The hypotenuse is given, and you can easily find the square of the hypotenuse. How would you then write these two squares in an equation that would give you the value of the square of the unknown side length?

OpenStudy (kaiiskool):

haha, thanks guys, I figured it out yesterday
