OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

can somebody show me how to evaluate this problem? ln2/3over-0.1 a picture of the actual problem will be given in the comments so it will make more sense

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

\[\frac{ \ln \frac{ 2 }{ 3 } }{ -1.0 }\]

satellite73 (satellite73):

you need a calculator for sure

satellite73 (satellite73):

but of course dividing by \(-1\) just makes it \[-\ln(\frac{2}{3})\]

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

I only have an old one that wont do logarithms

satellite73 (satellite73):

your kidding right? aren't you using a phone or a computer?

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

oh shoot thats supposed to be -0.1 sorry

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

yeah but im not good with this stuff

satellite73 (satellite73):

ok, dividing by \(-.1\) is the same as multiplying by \(-10\) so it is \[-10\ln(\frac{2}{3})\]

satellite73 (satellite73):

there are like 10,000 free on line calculators i use this http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-10ln(2%2F3)

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

thank you i just really want to know how to do some of it on paper but these will help

satellite73 (satellite73):

you cannot give a decimal for the natural log without a calculator there are other ways to write it, but not as a decimal for that you have to use one

OpenStudy (shawnnelson):

alright thank you

satellite73 (satellite73):
