This is the 2nd time within a few minutes that you have posted this question. I responded the first time and gave you some suggestions. If you have closed your previous post, then I feel you have not appreciated my efforts and have thrown them away. What happened?

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

@mathmale I respect your help just I have on clue what to do on this x and y thing

OpenStudy (workareject):

The sides x+3 and 15 are the same, so you have to solve for , 15-3= 12. so x=12. now for the other two sides. so plug in 12 for x, 2(15)-4, which the answer is 26. so just think 3y-1= 26. What would y be?

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

youd ad one right then divid it by 3 and get your y

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Closing a post in which I tried to give you some guidance is a fine way to show your appreciation. I notice you did not finish the problem you posted previously. You may need to invest more time and effort into learning this material than you currently are investing.

OpenStudy (workareject):

Correct!

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

alright thanks

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I challenge you to go back and solve the previous problem. The principles needed there are the same as in this problem.

OpenStudy (tacobell518):

will you guid me through

OpenStudy (mathmale):

In this case, I prefer not to. I don't want to type in the same information that I did the first time. Let this be a lesson to you. If you feel stuck on a particular problem, ASK QUESTIONS. Don't delete the problem and the efforts of others to help you.
