OpenStudy (madeleine2):

Use complete sentences to explain how it is possible to get linear factors of a polynomial.

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

A polynomial is solved by finding where it is equal to zero, to do this you need to look at the roots of the polynomial (i.e. the x-intercepts). How you solve a polynomial depends on the degree of the polynomial.

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

You can get linear factors in a polynomial which are related to the roots... f(x) = (x−a)(x−b)(x−c)...
