OpenStudy (cazz):

Can some explain the origins of the Universe? i know there is many theory's but i need just one

OpenStudy (bugman954):

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. This account seems to be in rough agreement with the big bang theory.

OpenStudy (osprey):

The currently "accepted" model is, I believe, the "big bang". It all started (says he "glibly") with one unimaginable "fireball". (Previous to that there was ... ?) All the mass and energy in the U came out of that fireball, with a little/lot of help from Einstein's theories of Relativity which coupled mass, energy, space and time into a "continuum". My apologies for any headaches the above para has induced. @bugman954 Very rough similarity. 'Cept there's no evidence that there was any medium around at the time that could transmit sound ? And no one to "hear it", let alone write it down. @IrishBoy123

OpenStudy (osprey):

ps the direct answer to your question is I think, no, nobody can !

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@osprey Nor any evidence that there was a god around to decree it.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

@Cazz as @Osprey says: The 'Big Bang' theory is supported by most current observations (although it is almost certainly not the entire 'truth') If you need a basic reference to get your answer then https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang

OpenStudy (osprey):

@MrNood 'truth' ... wonderful word that. I go more down the Heisenberg (uncertainty principle) non scientifically mangled by self into "I'm not sure", or "I don't know" I wonder how many exams I could pass by (wrongly) invoking H's principle ...

OpenStudy (bugman954):

@osprey, @MrNood I consider all religions equal in their search for truth through metaphor. I allow for the inaccuracies of those who wrote the stuff as far back as 5,000 years ago. They just did not know what we know today. I chose to appreciate my existence and honor the conditions that lead to it in my own way. I do not wish to just attribute my existence to a random occurrence in a giant game of cosmic pinball. I do not subscribe to any particular ancient writing, but most religious writings have good lessons in them, just not science lessons. When I was young we would begin grace at the table with "God is Good". I believe there is some sort of good spiritual ether that carries on throughout our past and this goodness is a key component in our existence today.
