OpenStudy (jbmsr):

-5g - 6 for g = -2

alones (alones):

\((−5)(−2)−6\) So subtract \(10−6\)

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

So, you just plug in (-2) for g in this equation: -5(-2) - 6 = ?

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

Double negative makes a number positive also.

alones (alones):

e-e vuriffy why you're taking my question away ;~;

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

I didn't, just helpful side notes. :P

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

*kicks both of you out* -5g - 6 for g = -2 Input -2 for g \[-5(-2) - 6\] -5 times -2 = 10 negative times negative = positive \[10 - 6 = 4\]

OpenStudy (vuriffy):

@ShadowLegendX much love

alones (alones):

Yeah, I feel loved .-. you kicked the wrong people out..jbmsr is no longer here

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

alones (alones):

Smh. dark heart..

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

I went googling for a heart and I get this, wow ._.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

</3

OpenStudy (josh0404):

g=-2 -5g-6 substitute the values of g where g=-2 -5(-2) -6 for any like sign the answer is positive is in it, 5x2 the answer is 10 10-6 and the answer is 4

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Not one of you focused on @jbmsr. Next time, please omit the side talk and try hard to involve the person who asked the question in the discussion. Thank you.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

We explained the answer, and he left. There was no response on his side.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

@jbmsr: You typed in "-5g - 6 for g = -2" It might be clearer for you and others if you include ALL of the instructions. For example: Evaluate -5g - 6 at g = -2" This asks you to replace g with (-2). The parentheses are necessary to show that you are multiplying (-2) by (-5).

alones (alones):

Yeah that's true what @ShadowLegendX is saying...no wonder mathmale why you never get on questions...when the user is offline...
