hmm, the question doesn't seem right, because the pieces don't match up at the ends
OpenStudy (gokuporter):
Well that';s the question...
OpenStudy (gokuporter):
Which pieces don't match up at the ends?
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
What you have done is to answer the question as given.
But I think there is some mistake in the question.
Because the piecewise 'function' is multiply valued between -1, and 2.
A relation that is multiply valued at any point is not really a function.

Okay.

So you have the best answer, and there is noting you can really do to fix the question.
OpenStudy (gokuporter):
Thanks :)
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
The simplest fix to the question would be to change the words "piecewise function" to "piecewise relation"
or to change the the domains to be something like
... x ≤ 1,
and ... 1 < x < 4
But that's the teachers mistake, not yours,
So just leave it as you have it.
