*FREE MEDAL!* Which Enlightenment Thinker (Ex. John Locke, Baron De Montesquieu, Etc.) Would fit the Mexican Revolution and explain how it fits it, I don't know which one to choose I am closer to John Locke, because his theory was if theirs a corrupt government, overthrow it, but its on presidents.
@zepdrix @sammixboo @EclipsedStar @pooja195 Help
I agree in this aspect, since his philosophy was based on the "right of "revolution"...and the rest of the Enlightenment thinkers have analysis factors (such as Rene Decartes) so they don't add up. However there's the president thing that doesn't really cue in because it was the dictator being overthrown...hmm
From what I've learned, the form of government being rebuilt is what Locke believed in. If one form of government doesn't work, then build a new one. The Mexican Revolution didn't result in that.
I checked up on all the other Enlightenment thinkers if there was a better alternative, but it seems that Locke is the main candidate. You could explain how the Mexican government was changed as a result of the people being dissatisfied, but I would keep the dictator out of the equation. xD
Lol
Also on the paper it says "or individuals who do not support"
You mean the individuals who did not support the Revolution?
I think so
I think the Locke path is easier.
Yeah, I would stick with that. Do you know what facts you're going to include?
Not really Sure, because this is just 1 part of my Essay Final
Out of 4 Paragraphs
Ah...I would not mention Huerta's time and the next presidents then, since they didn't exactly establish a firm government
But then how would you explain peoples dissatisfaction and how they were mistreated
All I know is that the whole issue was over presidency
Now that piece of information wasn't on the post XD
Still ;-;
That's a whole new topic altogether and you didn't mention it lol I would write about Diaz's government then, how people hated the dictator's laws. There was too wide a gap between the poor and the few rich, and they plotted to end his reign because they couldn't feed themselves and their economy was in turmoil.
Where would I find specific information
That, and they were backed by a guy named Francisco Madero who challenged the presidency reign being too long (1876-1911)
But he got arrested LOL ;-;
for no reason -.-
Personally, I would use this site: https://edsitement.neh.gov/feature/mexican-revolution-november-20th-1910
Yup thats one of my resources that I was given.
There were reasons that people disliked him .-. xD
Yeah, don't trust wiki ^_^
"violating the principles and ideals of the Mexican Constitution of 1857." Aha, that matches Locke
Now I am onto Anatomy of a revolution element
