The standard form of the quadratic equation is ax^2 + bx + c = 0. Notice that the powers of x are arranged in decreasing powers: 2, 1 and then 0. Look at all four answer choices. Before you do anything else, simplify each choice as much as you can. Only then, determine which ones have the same form as ax^2 + bx + c = 0 and which do not.
