OpenStudy (pepper08):

Uh, I'm guessing D or B because "In the study of history as an academic discipline, a primary source (also called original source or evidence) is an artifact, a document, diary, manuscript, autobiography, a recording, or other source of information that was created at the time under study." ~ Source wikipedia

OpenStudy (fefe):

ok thank you!

OpenStudy (pepper08):

I'd get a second opinion though, sorry if I'm wrong! :)

OpenStudy (fefe):

its ok

OpenStudy (pepper08):

Okay, I'm pretty sure it's B now out of the two. (:

a photograph of Lucy that was taken on November 24, 1974, in Ethiopia

OpenStudy (monkeyboom):

It cannot be A or D because it provides firsthand information of the scientist who discovered Lucy. It cant be C either because photographs/paintings can illustrate past events as they happened and people as they were in particular time which is basically what C is doing. So I think B is a Tertiary source and not primary source because it presents a summary of the condensed versions of materials, usually with references back to the primary/secondary sources. This also can be a good place to look up facts or get general overview of finding Lucy which is basically what B is doing. I hope this makes sense :)
