OpenStudy (leenathan):

is it C?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

A rational number is one that can be written as a fraction a/b where a and b are integers (b not = 0) Examples ar 4 , 2/7 , 0.4, a/3 etc Irrratationals cann ot be written that way Examples of these would be sqrt10 , sqrt3

OpenStudy (welshfella):

*1/3 not a/3

OpenStudy (welshfella):

sqrt 9 is not irrational because sqrt9 = 3

OpenStudy (leenathan):

wait no its not c

OpenStudy (welshfella):

right because sqrt9 is rational.

OpenStudy (leenathan):

its not A not B and not C so it must be D

OpenStudy (leenathan):

right?

OpenStudy (sshayer):

every number which can be put in the form \[\frac{ p }{ q }\] is a rational number where p and q are integers.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

No

OpenStudy (leenathan):

oh ops read it wrong

OpenStudy (leenathan):

7 sqt is not rational so ....its A

OpenStudy (sshayer):

correct.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Note that 0.3 with a line over the 3 means that the 3 is recurring . Recurring decimals are rational

OpenStudy (leenathan):

thanks you!!!!!! can u help with another ill open a new tread

OpenStudy (welshfella):
