What does the Tyger in William Blake poem symbolises

OpenStudy (osprey):

If memory serves me . Tyger tyger Burning bright-in the forest of the night-what immortal hand or eye- could frame thy fearful symmetry. Symbolises the awe and symmetry of the "tyger" stripes, acknowledging the predatory nature of the big cat and implying "admire from a distance ... it's safer there". Maybe also how can any artist - painter or poet - "capture" the energy, power etc of the tyger. I think that the poem is an "English Classic".
