What polynomial has roots of −4, −1, and 6?

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

@sunnnystrong

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

Hmm.. so recall that the roots/zeros of a polynomial are when x=0 If some polynomial has roots x= -4, x= -1, x=6 Than the polynomial in factored form is: (x+4)(x+1)(x-6)

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

Got it!

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

awesome :D

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

I got \[x^2+1x+x^2-6x+4x+4+4x-24 \] is that correct? @sunnnystrong

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

?? @sunnnystrong

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

Well.. do you have to give your answer in expanded form? @babe2323433

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

x3 − 9x2 − 22x + 24 x3 − x2 − 26x − 24 x3 + x2 − 26x + 24 x3 + 9x2 + 14x − 24

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

@sunnnystrong

OpenStudy (sunnnystrong):

Expanded form would be: \[x^3 - x^2 - 26 x - 24\]

OpenStudy (babe2323433):

So the second one?
