\[\checkmark\]
as they form a straight line (180 degrees)
OpenStudy (3mar):
and the same with 4 and 5??
|dw:1482106010846:dw|
OpenStudy (itrymath):
yes
OpenStudy (itrymath):
but 4 and 5 are linear pairs
OpenStudy (3mar):
and what is the wrong with that?

OpenStudy (itrymath):
linear pair means supplementary ?
OpenStudy (itrymath):
oh okay yes it does
OpenStudy (itrymath):
so number 2 would be C, correct?
OpenStudy (itrymath):
@3mar
OpenStudy (3mar):
Yes, as their measures add up to 180

OpenStudy (3mar):
"Yes, as their measures add up to 180"
I was talking about 1
sorry
OpenStudy (3mar):
So you just need check of 2?
OpenStudy (itrymath):
but you said if its 180 then its supplementery
OpenStudy (3mar):
Yes, that is for 4 and 5 when you said "Linear Pairs"...

\[\Huge \angle \color{blue}{ABC}=~~?\]
OpenStudy (itrymath):
OpenStudy (3mar):
I know the question, friend!
I ask you to see if you recognize that angle as a straight angle or not!
OpenStudy (itrymath):
no they are acute

OpenStudy (itrymath):
number 2 **
OpenStudy (sshayer):
<1+<2+<3+<4=180
<2+<3=90
<1+<4+90=180
<1+<4=180-90=90
so angles 1 and 4 are complementry
OpenStudy (itrymath):
what is the degree's for a complimentary angle ?
OpenStudy (sshayer):
angles are complementry if sum of two angles =90 degree
OpenStudy (itrymath):
oh so i would just have to add whatever angles they told me for example <2 and <3 and I add those and i get 90.... so what would it be complimentary

OpenStudy (sshayer):
<2 and <3 complementry if <2+<3=90
but it is given <DBF is aright angle.
so <2 and <3 are complementry
OpenStudy (3mar):
Keep that in mind:
How to remember which is which? Easy! Think:
"C" of Complementary stands for "Corner" right angle(a Right Angle), and
"S" of Supplementary stands for "Straight" (180 degrees is a straight line)
