Will fan and medal! This is all one, very broad question that I was asked and I'm not quite sure how to answer. What laws does each major world religion adhere to? What are the commonalities between them? How do they influence the lives of their followers? I just need help understanding what it mean by laws, and if possible, the basic info about each religion. The main religions we talked about were Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Sikhism, and Shinto :)

To answer this question, I would probably start out by explaining some of the important aspects/beliefs of each religion. Here's what I know about the ones you listed: 1.Christianity It is a monotheistic religion (meaning that christians only believe in one god). God is seen as loving and just. The main prophets in Christianity are Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (especially Jesus). Some of the values in Christianity include being kind/selfless and following God's commandments--following these values is the main way to have a good afterlife/go to heaven. 2. Judaism Pretty much the same as Christianity as far as beliefs go, except Jews believe that Jesus was a false prophet. Also, Jews have their own sets of laws regarding everyday life, hygiene, dress, food, morals, etc, I don't know very much about these except that Jews can't eat pigs cause they don't chew their cud. 3.Islam Pretty similar to Judaism and Christianity except Muslims believe there was a fourth prophet named Muhammed. Muslims also have their own specific beliefs about everyday life, hygiene, dress, food, morals, etc. I don't know very much about these except that Muslims are not supposed to draw/paint animals or something like that. 4. Buddhism There is no god in this religion. Buddhist follow the 4 noble truths and the eightfold path to achieve enlightenment and reach nirvana. 5. Hinduism Hindus believe in many gods. I don't know very much about Hinduism so I suggest you do some research. 6. Confucianism Confucianism is more like a philosophy than a religion. I suggest you do some research to learn more about the specific values/laws of Confucianism--It's mostly about family roles, politics, and life in general. 7.Sikhism I have no idea what this is 8. Shinto Shinto is a Japanese religion. I don't know very much about it. However, they believe that the wind, water, plants, etc. are all gods (I think) called kame. Next talk about things they have in common (teachers love examples). As well as, how these religions/religion in general impacts people's lives. Many of these religions encourage peace and living by the right morals. People's lives can be affected by religion in many different ways (Ex: eating kosher/halal, fasting, donating or volunteering more, praying at certain times of day, meditating, religious travel, etc.). Hope this helps!
