I dont understand how to do the work. i tried to do it from my notes and got the last answer but i dont think it is right

So you copied this problem down from class? Did the teacher actually present the problem in words, as you have, or did he/she present it symbolically? You'll find it much easier to work with a symbolic equation. Whew! "After the fraction x plus 1 all over 3 minus the fraction x plus 2 all over 2 x have been combined using the least common denominator of 6x, what is the numerator?" "fraction x plus 1 all over 3" would be (x+1) ----- 3 Translate the 2nd part of the problem into its symbolic representation. You end up here with 2 fractions of different denominators that you need to add to gether. To accomplish this you must determine the lowest common denominator (LCD) and put that denom. to use in your expression. What is the numerator of the single resultant expression?
