Does Brainly actually allow you to simply copy the entire website they've acquired and transfer all the content from it as well...? Their motivation to shut down OS is obviously money and they increase their revenue by getting rid of competition. Now that you've simply stolen all their content (and partly destroyed their dirty scheme), what are you going to do when they file lawsuits against QC?
@ultrilliam @angle
Simple, by law, we aren't actually doing anything wrong. We are non-profit.
I don't think it's that easy. Probably OS has copyright on the questions posted there. You cannot offer copyrighted content whether you're asking money for it or not. If that were the case, I could put up a website where people can download songs or movies for free because the site is non profit... But I guess you guys know what you're doing :P
That's not it, it specifically stated in the TaC that all content on OpenStudy is allowed for non profit usage.
not to mention, user generated content copyright law is iffy... ._.
Well then I hope the best for you :p Heard Brainly was working on taking this place down, thence my concern.
Even if they do, legally we should be alright :)
Hopefully, thomaster can teach logic to pooja, which, trust me, isn't very easy. :P
