Hi Everybody! I'm Miss Johnson, a teacher currently in Wisconsin, but you can call me Sally. I'm a very busy teacher, with LOTS of homework to check. I've joined OS before, but quickly found out that it was closing and that QC was becoming its replacement sort of. So I joined here now. Anyway, I've come here because I could really use some help with checking homework. I could actually use a lot of help, but I'll try not to overload you guys. If any of you are willing, please reply to my post. Thanks!
Hi Miss Johnson, Welcome to QuestionCove! We are very pleased to have you here! I would love to assist! What subject(s) are you currently teaching?
Thanks Pandora! Currently I am teaching in Chemistry and Geometry, but I do sometimes get transfers to other subjects, especially when a substitute teacher is needed.
What I really need is someone to which I can give extra homework for checking. I very often have homework in amounts that are just too much for me to check all by myself, especially when there are so many students in my class.
I (as well as many others, I'm sure) would love to assist! How would we go about checking the assessments?
Hello Sally :D, I am only 14 but i skipped 2 grades and very strong in math, You can tag me at any time if you need help checking Geometry Homework. I would be more then happy to help you. ~ HuskyNation
Wellcome To QuestionCove :D
Great! Well, as for most of the assessments, I can either type and post them here where I can tag you, or we can go about it through email. Either way will suit me.
please excuse my spelling i meant: Welcome To QuestionCove :D
Thanks and Hi @HuskyNation ! Well, skipping 2 grades sounds pretty tough for a 14 year old. You must be pretty smart :).
I would prefer it posted here, as it could bring more users to QuestionCove :)
Yes ma'am, It was hard because the school didn't want someone skipping so many grades but once I was able to it was a piece of cake and hoping I can graduate at 16
I currently have a Diploma in Basic English Grammar, so I would be able to assist best with checking over assessments that fall under that category.
Good for you Husky! It's so nice to hear from a passionate student.
Alright @Pandora . Pretty sure I'll call you for matters of English Grammar. @HuskyNation Let me know whenever you have time, I don't want to take up any valuable time from your studies. But I could use a smart helper anytime. :)
Perfect whenever you see me online that means i am able to help, I am online most of the time because i multittask very good
Hai Sally! I'll be more than happy to try and help you Ma'am. :)
Great Husky! OK, I'll post something for Geo now, it'll be a 7 question assessment. But don't hesitate to let me know if you are busy. You can all take a look at it, let me know how passionate about the subjects you are:)
Alrighty Sounds good ma'am :D
Hi, Miss Johnson. Welcome to the QuestionCove! nice to have you here. I have few questions about checking h.w will you post the document, or a screenshot ?? Do you assign online h.w or is it on paper ?
I have the same questions^

Natalie is a girl who likes to swim. 3. Penelope is a girl who likes to swim. 4. Jeanine is a girl who likes to swim Boys do not like to swim. Girls like to swim.<--- Sally, Natalie, Penelope, and Jeanine only swim in the summertime. Girls are the only ones who like to swim. This is a sample of what I have to check. The arrows are showing the answer picked. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Number 1 Is correct
oh a sample x'D by bad
@Nnesha I can't post a document because apparently there is no feature for uploading files yet. I usually give homework on paper, but on occasion I do have to send out homework in computer documents when the student is out of town.
@HuskyNation yes it's a sample, but I can post some real ones if you are ready :)
sure
I apologize about not being able to upload a file yet, I am working on this as we speak actually.
It's alright @Ultrilliam . I'm not complaining. I understand it takes time.
ok i'm not trying to be rude just curious wouldn't that be too much work to type all the questions here.. on the other hand ..at that time you can check h.w fr 5+ students on your own.
btw.. as you said most h.w are on papers. Don't you think students should show their work instead of just the answer. that's what they going to do in college.
Let's test whether we can work together for mutual benefit, over the next few days, and not yet expect a commitment on the part of questioncove users. Are you posting work actually done by your students, and asking questioncove users to correct student responses in that way? Are you able to go through the problem solving process (in response to work done by your students) with questioncove users, or are you just hoping to receive answers to the questions you've had your students do? Note that OpenStudy's Code of Conduct frowned on our giving out direct answers. I don't see how questioncove users would benefit from being asked for direct answers if there's no dialogue between you and them. Please give this some thought and then share more details regarding what specifically you're asking of us. Thank you. mathmale, Moderator and 43-year college professor
I understand what you are saying, @Nnesha . When I said on paper, I didn't exactly mean the classic way of paper and pen that students write on and hand in. All of the homework is in computer documents that students email to me once they have completed. What I meant by 'paper' was that they are also required to give printed copies also, unless they are out of town.
How exactly would you share student work with questioncove users? And again, are you willing to interact with questioncove users to arrive at answers to each question? I don't see much, if any, educational value to questioncove users doing these problems and sending you back a "right" or "wrong" response, with no interaction with you.
