Solve for three variables

Lumi:

http://prntscr.com/e8fi1l

satellite73:

subtract the first equation from the second, gives \[\large f+g=-2\]

Lumi:

do i have to subtract the first from the second

satellite73:

i would then double the third equation, get \[4d+10f+10g=-8\] then subtract the second equation form that one

satellite73:

\[5f+6g=-12\]

satellite73:

so now you have \[f+g=-2\\ 5f+6g=-12\] solve for \(f,g\)

Lumi:

I can use -5 right

Lumi:

so g = -2?

satellite73:

yes , \(g=-2, f=0\)

Lumi:

oh right, because f + g = -2

satellite73:

yes

satellite73:

now you can solve for d in either any of the three equations

Lumi:

4d = 12 so d = 3?

satellite73:

that is what i get yes

Lumi:

sorry my internet died

Lumi:

I medaled you, ty
