Which phrase best describes Plath’s technique in her poem “Edge”? the use of largely figurative language the use of mostly literal language extensive use of apostrophe and alliteration the use of strict meter and set rhyme scheme
old question but will respond to this so this question can be closed link to the poem: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/49009/edge-56d22ab50bbc1 I will eliminate B (the language is not literal. notice phrases such as "The moon has nothing to be sad about, Staring from her hood of bone." "Each dead child coiled, a white serpent, ", which are very figurative phrases. I will also eliminate D (there's no rhyme scheme and while there is some pattern, the scheme is not very strict in terms of syllable/word count)
