What event led to the U.S. purchase of the Louisiana Territory? The burning of a U.S. Navy ship in the First Barbary War The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Marbury vs. Madison The successful Haitian slave revolt Napoleon losing money in his European wars

@EclipsedStar please help
@EclipsedStar you there? :)
At the time that area was under France's rule. Napoleon desperately needed funds for his army in Europe while America was deciding over Manifest Destiny (to take control of the land from the east to the west). So, they bought it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisiana_Purchase
ok... so what would be the answer?
I did mention Napoleon ;o D lol
He did face another looming war he knew was inevitable too. That's another reason he needed funds for weapons
awesome next @EclipsedStar Veena writes an essay about Native Americans in the 1800s: Native Americans and U.S. settlers struggled for land during the early 1800s. U.S. citizens slowly pushed Native Americans off their traditional lands. They fought wars, such as the Seminole War, for control of Louisiana. Native Americans lost these struggles and were pushed farther and farther west. Which statement corrects a mistake in Veena's essay? Native Americans usually gave up their lands voluntarily. The Seminole War was fought over control of Florida. Most Native Americans moved south, rather than west. U.S. citizens had little interest in Native American lands.
Next time I suggest making a new post, it's a rule that should have been implemented in our rules..hmm
It's a policy of ours I'm pretty sure
