Alecjpm790:

What is the best way to punctuate the bolded portion of the quotation? “So perhaps it does not matter very much in which order anyone reads them—C.S. Lewis them”—C.S. Lewis them.”—C.S. Lewis them,”—C.S. Lewis them”.—C.S. Lewis PLEASE HELP!!!

Elsa213:

Ofc! ^.^ What do you believe the correct answer is? If you are not sure, feel free to take a guess. :3 I will make sure to correct you if it is the incorrect choice.

@Alecjpm790

Alecjpm790:

I personally think it is option two. I am not 100 percent positive though. @Elsa213

Elsa213:

Correct! ^.^

Elsa213:

If the quote ends there, then it will be `them."` :3

Elsa213:

Ofc! ^.^ Welcome to QuestionCove. :p

Elsa213:

Shadow, am I correct? o:

Elsa213:

@Shadow <.<

Shadow:

That is correct. In em dash quotations, or in any quotations, the punctuation(period) must be within the quotation marks, at the end of the segment. The em dash along with the quote attribution (C.S. Lewis) lies outside of the quotation marks, with the em dash.

Elsa213:

Thank you. ^.^
