Sociology is the study of human society as a whole. Psychological viewpoints focus on humanistic, psycho-dynamic, trait, and social cognitive approaches. Emergent has to do with theories placed with adequate data collection. Therefore, the only one that actually fits for an individual is by biological means, especially if you have learned about Eysenck's Theory of Criminal Personality in your class. He basically believed in predisposition, or that you have a set personality from birth that you change or retain according to your environmental factors (how you were raised, etc.). If it interests you, you can research twin studies in which identical twins were separated at birth and raised in completely different places and families but still had the same interests and behaviors. Here's a reliable resource on the Eysenck Theory should you wish to read more: http://www.actforlibraries.org/hans-eysencks-theories-of-criminal-behavior/
