katherine:

Why are metals better conductors of electricity than glass or ceramic materials?

katherine:

@Ultrilliam

katherine:

you're all I got buddy.

Ultrilliam:

Think of electricity like a very thin stream of electrons. Metal has looser electrons in much more quantity then something like glass or ceramic which is packed tightly together. Electricity will flow through something that has much more area to flow through Does that make sense?

dude:

LOL

katherine:

my teacher needs it with my own words, but rn my brain is at the beach.. so idk what to write

katherine:

and I was hoping with your brain, that is in a science class can help meeeeeee

Ultrilliam:

I just gave you a pretty good example of how to explain it :|

Ultrilliam:

Think of it like a flow of water, not much water will get through something that's thin, but a lot of water will get through a thick channel

katherine:

This sucks.

Ultrilliam:

Dude, any idea how to explain it easier?

Ultrilliam:

I see you watching the question dude.

katherine:

yeah dude. don't just stand there. DO SOMETHING

Ultrilliam:

LOL

katherine:

@Vocaloid

dude:

It all goes back to atomic structure, metals have that allow for the transfer of electrons

sillybilly123:

This is the Age of the Idiot, Jay «valence “

katherine:

anything else?

katherine:

I'm trying to find something too :)

sillybilly123:

Qu for u

sillybilly123:

Peace

katherine:
