HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA last math
@dude
@dude
\(x+y=10\\ 0.05x+0.25y=0.1(10)\)
?
Those are your equations
oh
x+y=10 Amount of liters for each
ohhh
\(0.05x+0.25y=0.1(10)\) The % of each needs to be
10%?
I am just explaining the equations
oh
Yeah, now solve for x and y
._.
\(x+y=10\\ 0.05x+0.25y=0.1(10)\) Multiply one equation by -0.05 \(\color{red}{-0.05(}x+y=10\color {red}{)}\\ 0.05x+0.25y=0.1(10)\) => \(-0.05x-0.05y=0.5\\ 0.05x+0.25y=1\) Add \(0.20y=1.5\) Divide by 0.20 \(y=7.5\)
x=2.5
Substitute into one of the equations \(x+7.5=10\\ x=2.5\)
Yes
92% ;o
oh.
oof you mixed up the x and y
*deskpalm*
ets still an A
Sure I guess
took me a while to get to it, but yeah... I was gonna say that the y and x got mixed up 0.05x + 0.25y = 0.1 is the equation, not 0.1(10) which is what went wrong
as for explaining why you set it up the way you do: (percent)*(amount) + (percent)*(amount) = (ending percent) for example, (0.05 of a dollar)*(4 nickles) + (0.25 of a dollar)*(2 quarters) = (0.7 of a dollar)
