@Vocaloid
wow well let's assume you would be taking a mortgage on a house + paying for basic utilities such as: electricity natural gas water internet phone service trash collection there's probably also a homeowner's fee associated with your neighborhood then there's expenses to take care of yourself, let's assume you are living alone so food, clothing, entertainment are also some things you can consider this will require a bit of research, you can use your own home/residential are as a reference to figure out what the monthly bills for your utility would be
if you google "cost of living in ______[insert your city here]" you can get a good idea of what things cost where you live
oh, transportation is a good thing to consider the average commute to work is 26 minutes, so you can figure out what type of car you'd want to drive, what the mileage is, and how much gas per month you would need, assuming you work, like, 20 days a month
any progress yet?
Yes right now im just seeing what the monthly budget would be for each thing
electricity-$50 natural gas- water-$30 internet-$40 phone service-$30 trash collection-$10 homeowner's fee associated with your neighborhood-$450 Clothing-$50 entertainment-$200 transportation-$250
can you take a look at these costs and see if they are accurate
I wasn't sure about natural gas
these numbers will vary depending on where you live so there's no universal # to check
okay sounds good.
good, now you can add them up and see how much you would be spending each month
well I have to make categories first. Should I just do personal expenses versus home expenses
sure
you could also add a category for work expenses I guess, you can put transportation there
this is a pointless busywork assignment and i wouldn't waste your time being "detailed", unless it's wroth a substantial amount of your grade
in any case living expenses vary widely across cities to the point that unless you know exactly where you will be working none of this will be accurate or useful to you in the future yolo
So to cover this I would have to make 200,000
Monthly mortgage as in house mortgage, right?
yes 200,000 seems way too high, how did you get this #?
1,030
Is this accurate?
I found this google
Lol
on google *
look, expect to make between like 30k and like 80k, unless you're an engineering major like me lol
good, so you would add the mortgage to the expenses you have already calculated to find the total monthly expense for #1 to get an idea of whether this is "realistic' or not try multiplying it by 12 to find the yearly income, then decide whether this is a realistic income for you or not
okay so add 1,030 + 1,150 =2,180 2,180 * 12 =26,160
lmao where is your rent? 450???
good then to determine whether this is realistic or not, think about your current skill set/education level and what kind of job(s) might be available to you right now based on that skill set
you need to pay off your mortgage, if you're gonna go vocaroo's route and shaft yourself with owning a home
