connorjameseverett:

A squirrel runs at a steady rate of 0.51 m/s in a circular path around a tree. If the squirrel's centripetal acceleration is 0.43 m/s2, what is the radius of the circle?

Angle:

Hello! so centripetal acceleration = (speed)^2 / (radius)

Angle:

in this case, speed = 0.15 and acceleration = 0.43 we plug this in to get 0.43 = (0.15)^2 / (radius) now all we have to do it solve for the radius
