HELP! DATA MANAGEMENT A brown-eyed father and a green-eyed mother have a 25% chance of having a green-eyed child. What is the probability that, in a family of four children, three of them have green eyes?
@Vocaloid help?
25% chance of one green-eyed child 75% chance of a non-green-eyed child so 3 green-eyed and one brown-eyed gives us (25%)(25%)(25%)(75%) there are 4 possible ways this can happen GGGB, GGBG, GBGG, BGGG, so simply multiply the previous probability by 4 4*(25%)(25%)(25%)(75%) ==> convert to a decimal
so the answer is 4.6875 right?
alright thanks for clearing it up!!!
4 * .25 * .25 * .25 * .75 = ?
@Vocaloid @pennyproud I think the answer is 0.046 875
good
thanks also for the sum question isn't it either 2 or infinite
oh wait it can be zero because zero is equal because both sides r 0 @Vocaloid
can we not interrupt each other's questions kthnx
like the sum is zero which is equal
I answered Pennys question I didn't interupte
the sum of a probability distribution is always 1
anyway i'm going to close this
thanks jamie and vocaloid
