"I studied English in library on Sunday with two classmates" How do I translate this (disregarding erroneous grammar)? My attempt: 我星期天在图书馆和两个同学学英文

kittybasil:

I'm trying to make it bigger but maybe I need to screenshot this 我星期天在图书馆和两个同学学英文

kittybasil:

@Angle ^^''

Vocaloid:

I’d probably use 跟 (gen, with) instead of 和

kittybasil:

We haven't learned that yet, but I WAS sorely tempted to write that lol @Vocaloid

Vocaloid:

Oh ok

Vocaloid:

I think it’s good but of course it would be good to get a second opinion

kittybasil:

Same, I went w/ what I usually would say in a conversation lol

Vocaloid:

@mhchen can you double check this when you get a chance

kittybasil:

LOL

mhchen:

I agree with Voca. use 'gen' instead of 'he'

Angle:

I mean, if you haven't learned "gen" then it's already pretty good something I would personally add might be to add "shang ge" so "wo shang ge xing qi tian" because you are in past tense. "shang ge" would refer to the sunday which has already passed. otherwise, without it, the sentence might sound like this is something you are planning on doing...

kittybasil:

Oh yeah, that's true @Angle ty for the tip! ♥

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @mhchen I agree with Voca. use 'gen' instead of 'he' \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) lol I explained why I can't use even though it is the more proper one Trust me, I wanted to use it.
