Ackeem071:

segment B prime C prime has endpoints located at B'(2, 0) and C'(2, 6). segment BC was dilated at a scale factor of 2 from the origin. Which statement describes the pre-image?

Mercury:

I can't find an exact copy of the answer choices, but it's asking for the length and location (endpoints) of the pre-image it gives us the image B'C' and tells us that the pre-image was dilated by a factor of 2 to get to the image. therefore, working backwards, we can take the image coordinates and apply a scale factor of 1/2 to get back to the pre-image. multiply the coordinates of B'C' by 1/2 and find the distance between the two pre-image points
