Ultrilliam:

Hi, what is it you need to find the length of?

tetelaney:

Ultrilliam:

Could you post the graph?

Ultrilliam:

Do you know how to find the hypotenuse of the two triangles?

tetelaney:

the longest part

darkknight:

@Hero, is this even solvable?

darkknight:

@dude

Hero:

@darkknight yes it is solveable

darkknight:

nvr mind, so I can help you

darkknight:

So we know that angle DEF is 38 degrees. Since triangle CBD is similar to triangle EFD. This means that angle DCB is also 38 degrees. angle BDC is going to be 90-38 or 52 degrees. You then use law of sines to figure out the length of CD. Like here: sin(38 degrees)/10 = sin(90)/x. Find x You also do the same thing with the other triangle. So your proportion is this for the second one: sin(52)/17= sin(90)/y. Find y then. Afterwards add x and y to get the length of CE

darkknight:

CD was x and DE was y in this case btw

darkknight:

tell me if you need more clarifying
