ne...jamais: never
ne...pas encore: not yet
ne...plus: not anymore
ne...rien: nothing
ne...personne: no one

examples:
Les personnes odieuses n'ont jamais rien apporté d'utile. (Obnoxious people never contribute anything useful.)

Les vêtements n'ont pas encore été lavés. (The clothes have not been washed yet.)

Je ne tolère plus les gens irrespectueux. (I am not tolerating disrespectful people anymore.)

Il ne demande rien. (He asks for nothing.)

Elle ne parle jamais à personne. (She never talks to anyone.)

can be the objects of prepositions. as such, use à or de/d' as appropriate.

examples:
Je n'ai rêvé de rien. (I did not dream about anything.)
Je n'écris à personne. (I am not writing to anyone.)


jamais: never
rien: nothing
pas encore: not yet
pas toujours: not always

examples:
Quoi de neuf? Jamais. (What's up? Nothing.)
Sont-ils interdits? Pas encore. (Are they banned? Not yet.)


rien: nothing
personne: nobody
when rien and personne are the subjects, change to rien ne and personne ne.

examples:

Rien ne me met plus en colère que les gens qui perdent mon temps. (Nothing makes me angrier than people wasting my time.)
Personne n'aime les gens paresseux. (Nobody likes lazy people.)


ne... que
is roughly equivalent to "only" and is used to suggest that a verb is limited in a certain sense

examples:
Elle ne travaille que les jours de semaine. (She only works on weekdays.)
Je n'ai que cinq robes. (I only have five dresses.)
